In-Home Care in Greenville, TX: Flexible, Affordable, No Contracts

A home care aide helps a senior with light exercises at home, showing the flexible in-home care available to Greenville, TX families.

Greenville sits at an interesting crossroads. Close enough to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex that many families have ties there, but far enough east that the pace of life and the cost of living feel distinctly different. For families in Hunt County caring for an aging parent, that in-between position creates a specific challenge: you want the quality of care available in a major metro, but you need a provider who actually knows and serves your community.

Home Care That Works for Hunt County Families

Embark Care provides non-medical in-home care throughout Hunt County and the surrounding area. Our services cover the daily support that helps aging adults stay safe and comfortable at home: bathing and personal care assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation to medical appointments at Hunt Regional Medical Center or other providers, companionship, and specialized memory care for those living with dementia or Alzheimer’s.

We serve families in Greenville, Commerce, Lone Oak, Quinlan, West Tawakoni, Caddo Mills, and throughout the rest of Hunt County. We also reach into neighboring Rockwall, Kaufman, Hopkins, Rains, and Delta counties. If your loved one lives in this part of Texas, we can get a caregiver to their door.

The No-Contracts, No-Minimums Difference

This is the single biggest practical difference between Embark Care and most of the franchise agencies operating in or near the DFW area that also claim to serve Hunt County.

Most franchise home care agencies require shift minimums of three to four hours. That means if your father needs a caregiver for one hour each morning to help him get dressed and have breakfast, you are paying for three or four hours of service. On top of that, many require weekly minimums of twelve to twenty hours. For families on a budget, those requirements can make home care feel financially out of reach even when the hourly rate seems reasonable.

Embark Care does not operate that way. There are no contracts binding you to a set number of weeks or months. There are no shift minimums inflating your bill. You use what you need, you pay for what you use, and you adjust as circumstances change. If your parent has a rough week and needs extra support, we are there. If they are doing well and want to cut back, that is fine too.

This flexibility is especially important for Hunt County families who may be managing care from a distance. If you live in Dallas or Fort Worth and your parent is in Greenville, the last thing you need is a rigid care schedule that does not adapt when reality shifts.

Affordable Rates Without Cutting Corners

Greenville and Hunt County have a lower cost of living than the DFW metro, and families here rightly expect their home care costs to reflect that. Embark Care’s rates are competitive and fall below both the Texas agency median and the national median for home care services.

We keep our rates lower not by paying caregivers less or skimping on training, but by operating without the franchise royalty fees and corporate overhead that drive up costs at national brand agencies. Every dollar stays in the operation, going toward caregiver wages, training, and the quality of care your family receives.

Affordable does not have to mean substandard. It just means we run a lean, well-managed organization with rigorous training, careful caregiver matching, and a focus on quality care delivery.

VA Benefits Available for Hunt County Veterans

Hunt County has a proud veteran population, and many veterans and surviving spouses qualify for VA programs that help cover in-home care costs. Embark Care accepts Home Based Primary Care (HBPC), Aid and Attendance, and Veterans Pension benefits.

These programs can make a meaningful difference in what your family pays out of pocket each month. Unfortunately, many eligible veterans never apply because they are unaware the programs exist or find the application process intimidating. Our team can walk you through the options and help coordinate with the VA. Visit our resources page for more information on veteran-specific home care benefits.

Local Expertise, Not a Franchise Playbook

Embark Care was founded by professionals with more than 45 years of combined experience in the home care industry, including building and operating a nationally recognized franchise in Northeast Texas. Together, our founders later grew an independent home care agency into one of the largest independently owned and operated home care agencies in the region. They started Embark Care to carry forward a legacy of excellence built over decades — and to deliver home care the way they always believed it should be done: putting families ahead of corporate profit margins.

Embark Care exists because Dana and Mindy spent years building home care agencies together — and because Jason, a Northeast Texas business owner who had built and run a successful home care agency of his own, trusted them to build a new one. Dana is a Licensed Vocational Nurse with home health experience who has personally led every agency on this team’s journey. Mindy brings a Health Care Administration degree from Dallas Baptist University, multi-market franchise operating experience, and a career that started as a hands-on caregiver. Jason — now one of Embark Care’s co-owners and a board member — built and ran a successful home care agency before partnering with them on Embark. After the agency Dana and Mindy had spent years growing was no longer theirs to lead, Jason was the one who asked them to do it again, this time as their own. Embark Care is their new journey — their fresh start.

That fresh start has deep roots in Greenville. The earlier agency Dana and Mindy led had a branch office right here, and Mindy ran it. Today she lives in Hunt County, which means our Greenville office isn’t a satellite or a spreadsheet decision — it’s run by someone who’s been doing this work in this community for years.

We have served hundreds of families across 43 Texas counties and 10 Arkansas counties. Our Greenville clients benefit from the same standards, training, and commitment that we bring to every community we serve, backed by the personal attention that only a locally owned agency can provide.
