Caregiver Time Out provides a safe, engaging space for individuals living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or Parkinson’s while their caregivers take a well-deserved break. Caregivers may stay or enjoy personal time while participants enjoy games, crafts, music, and lunch. Sponsored by local healthcare and community agencies.

Lamar County’s “The Longest Day” Walk — 2022
Each June, the Alzheimer’s Association invites communities to honor those living with Alzheimer’s and the families who love them. Our Embark Care team, our caregivers, and the families we serve walked together in Lamar County to raise awareness and funds. It’s a cause that’s personal to us — many of the seniors in our care, and many of our caregivers’ own loved ones, are walking this road.

We hosted free educational sessions for families navigating dementia, advance care planning, and the realities of caring for aging parents while still raising children of their own. Lunch on us — the conversations and questions are what made these so valuable.
Roxton Flu Shot Clinic — Fall 2022
Free flu shots for the Roxton community, with Embark Care helping coordinate transportation for seniors who couldn’t easily get to the clinic on their own. Small barriers to seasonal protection — transportation, scheduling, paperwork — matter most for the people we serve.
