Wes Smith is a registered nurse and clinical director with Cypress Basin Hospice, a non profit hospice within the Embark Care service area.  He is passionate about educating the public about what hospice is, dispelling myths about hospice, and encouraging earlier hospice care as a means of providing support for families and prolonging the quality of life of hospice patients.

This video that Wes prepared, “Hospice 101 for Provider Services” will be very helpful information for helping recognize clients who could benefit from hospice care and how to recognize decline at the end of life.  As you’ll learn, there are many ways that hospice care and Embark Care’s non-medical care provider services complement each other.
